UN council concerned at Israel-Palestinian clashes

The UN Security Council voiced concern about the fighting between Israeli forces and Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank on Friday and urged both sides to resume peace talks.

"The members of the Security Council expressed their concern at the current tense situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, including east Jerusalem," Gabon's UN Ambassador Emmanuel Issoze-Ngondet, president of the Security Council for March, told reporters. (Reuters)
