Germany: Mubarak's surgery successful

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak had successful surgery on his gallbladder in Germany on Saturday, Egypt's official Middle East News Agency reported.

It said the president underwent "a successful operation on Saturday morning" to remove the gallbladder and was in the intensive care unit of Heidelberg university hospital where he was speaking with family members and his medical team. (Reuters)
