Spain and Venezuela ended a tense spat between governments by issuing a joint statement Saturday denying a Spanish judge's claim that Venezuela has links with the Basque separatist group ETA.
Spanish judge Eloy Velasco had on Monday indicted six ETA members, most exiled in Latin America, and seven members of Colombian rebel group FARC on charges including plotting to kill former Colombian President Andres Pastrana and current President Alvaro Uribe. (AP)
