Haredim riot in J'lem; none injured
Haredim hurled stones at cars and buses driving through the ultra-Orthodox Jerusalem neighborhood of Mea Shearim on Sunday. They also hurled stones and burned trash cans on Yehezhel Street in the city. No one was injured, but a military vehicle passing through was damaged.
Police barred public transport vehicles from entering the neighborhood. The residents are protesting the arrest of haredim in northern Israel, who were protesting against excavation works in the area. (Efrat Weiss)
