Compromise reached over conversion law; discussions continue
The Prime Minister's Office has reached a compromise according to which the proposed civil marriage law will be brought for discussion Tuesday before the Knesset Legislative Committee, and the conversion law will be discussed Monday but will not be put forward for voting.
On Sunday contacts continued between coalition partners and the haredi parties which had withdrawn their support for the law. (Attila Somfalvi)
