French FM: PLO's decision shows commitment to peace
French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner welcomed the PLO's "courageous decision" to open indirect talks with Israel.
"Despite the difficulties and the obstacles, the decision shows a commitment to peace and a sense of responsibility on the part of the Palestinian leadership. We all hope this will contribute to the revival of the peace process in the region," Kouchner said. (AFP)
