431,000 Israelis went abroad in January-February
January and February saw a sharp increase of 20% in the number o9f Israelis who went abroad versus the same period last year, according to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics. However, this is 4% decrease since 2008.
The figures show that 431,000 Israelis went abroad in the said months, versus 360,000 in the same period in 2009. Travel was significantly impacted by Operation Cast Lead and the global financial crisis. (Ynet)
