Labor furious over east Jerusalem construction decision: serious mishap
Welfare and Social Services Minister Isaac Herzog (Labor) expressed anger over the decision to approve a plan to build 1,600 housing units in east Jerusalem and said, "This is a serious mishap and the prime minister must make sure it does not happen again, especially during such an important visit."
"It is not clear who is responsible," Herzog added, "But what's certain is that it causes immense damage to those who wish to engage in a peace process." The decision was made public during US Vice President Joe Biden's visit to Israel. (Roni Sofer)
