Israel's UN envoy: Little chance of paralyzing sanctions on Iran
Israel's UN ambassador, Prof. Gabriella Shalev, said to reporters that the chances of significant sanctions against Iran in the Security Council are slim.
Shalev noted that China and Russia, who prefer diplomatic efforts, are preventing a decision on a fourth round of sanctions against Tehran. "If the Security Council does not impose sanctions, Israel is counting on the states themselves to do so," she said. (AFP)
