Biden: Construction permit compromises Palestinian trust
US Vice President Joe Biden said Wednesday that Israel's decision to approve the construction of an extra 1,600 housing units in east Jerusalem will gravely damage Palestinian trust.
Speaking at a press conference held in Ramallah with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Biden said that the US administration will endorse boosting the status of those who support peace. Abbas addressed Israel and demanded a display of commitment to the political process and cessation of the measures which compromise it. (Ali Waked)
