Netanyahu telephoned Biden, says building plan an accident

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on the phone with US Vice President Joe Biden for the second time since Wednesday night. The prime minister reiterated that the approval of 1,600 housing units in east Jerusalem was an accident and a misunderstanding.
Sources in the Prime Minister's Office said they got the impression that the embarrassing affair was over. Officials in Biden's entourage and in the White House have been holding talks with the prime minister's political advisor, Ron Dremer, in a bid to solve the issue. (Roni Sofer)
