French FM: hopeful for UN sanctions on Iran soon

French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner says he is hopeful that members of the UN Security Council will soon agree on new sanctions against Iran.

But he says there is still some disagreement among China, Russia, the US, Britain and France, the veto-wielding powers in the UN body. (AP)
