After Biden debacle, PMO rep to participate in building plan discussions
The Ministerial Legislative Affairs Committee authorized an addendum to the building a planning law Thursday mandating that a representative from the Prime Minister's Office participate in discussions on authorizing building plans.
The addendum, which was initiated by Welfare Minister Isaac Herzog, is part of the conclusions drawn from the embarrassing incident in which 1,600 housing units were authorized in east Jerusalem during US Vice President Joe Biden's visit to Israel in order to spur peace talks with Israel and the Palestinians.
