Wadi Ara residents protest against expansion of haredi town
A few dozen residents of the Wadi Ara are demonstrating near Barkai Junction in protest against the expansion of the ultra-Orthodox town of Harish.
"We are worried that the housing minister is seeking to make a land grab and to circumvent the recommendation made by the National Building and Planning Board that ruled that the no more than 60,000 residents can live in the town, not the 100,000 residents planned by the minister and his Shas colleagues," explained one of the protesters.
