Government approves construction of fence on Egypt border

The government has approved the construction of a fence on the Israel-Egypt border at the cost of NIS 1.35 billion (about $360,000). The construction is expected to be completed in 2013.

According to the defense establishment, the fence will stop 90% of infiltrations from Sinai. (Roni Sofer)
