Labor 'rebels': Demand full freeze beyond Green Line

Members of Knesset Amir Peretz, Eitan Cabel and Daniel Ben-Simon (Labor) filed a motion during a faction meeting that will obligate Labor ministers to push a motion calling for a complete freeze of construction beyond the Green Line during negotiations with the Palestinians.

In addition, the MKs demanded that Israel initiate direct talks with the Palestinians, without preconditions. The three suggested that if the motion is denied, the Labor faction will hold a meeting to consider its future within the coalition. (Attila Somfalvi)
