Knesset passes Nakba law in preliminary reading

The Knesset plenum passed a watered-down version of the Nakba law in a preliminary reading. The law, initiated by Yisrael Beiteinu, was passed with a majority of 15 votes in favor against eight against it.
In response, MK Ahmad Tibi (United Arab List-Ta'al) said, "This is another black day for the Knesset." (Amnon Meranda)
