An Afghan official says suicide attackers have hit at least two locations in the main city near a NATO offensive in the south and a gunbattle is ongoing.
Government spokesman Dawood Ahmadi says the attacks in Lashkar Gah in Helmand province targeted a government office and a charity that help farmers. He said Wednesday there has been at least one explosion but did not have information on casualties. He says security forces are fighting the attackers. (AP)
