Police have arrested a 55-year old man from Rishon Letzion and his 18-year old son on suspicion that they attacked a soldier who denied the father entry to the Tel Hashomer army base, where his son was enlisting.
Police say the father sought entry to the base because his son was being recruited to a certain unit in the IDF, but was denied entry by the guarding soldier. According to suspicion the two then attacked the soldier, others who came to his aid, and police officers. One of the soldiers was lightly injured, and the father and son attempted to flee the scene, but were arrested. (Yoav Zitun)
