Peres: Israel, US not interested in tensions

President Shimon Peres said that he spoke Wednesday morning with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Israel's recent disagreement with the US and that he believes the two sides must quickly reach an understanding.
During a tour of a school in Holon, the president said in response to a question posed by one of the students, "I don't think the US and Israel are interested in any sort of tension. There is great friendship between the countries that is based on democratic values and our values from the Bible and history." (Ronen Medzini)
