Livni: Israel needs guarantees for its security
None
Opposition Chairwoman Tzipi Livni met with European Union foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton and told her that any peace agreement includes calculated risks, and therefore "there is a great importance for each Israeli citizen to know that Israel will receive guarantees for its security as part of any arrangement and under any scenario."
Addressing the Iranian threat, Livni said that "Israel's right to self-defense and to act against terror must be maintained in any situation and facing any threat. Firm action against Iran will prove to Israel that when it comes to a regional threat – the world knows how to act against it." (Attila Somfalvi)
