Deputy defense minister: Hamas responsible for Qassam firing

Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai commented Thursday on the Qassam rocket fired into the western Negev and said, "Hamas controls Gaza and therefore Israel sees it as responsible for any firing from the Strip."
"Israel isn’t interested in a military conflict but will not allow fire on its residents. Hamas must prevent any type of firing into Israeli territory in order to prevent an escalation," Vilnai said. (Hanan Greenberg)
