Israel's UN envoy calls on UN to condemn Hamas, Qassams

Israel's Ambassador to the UN Prof. Gabriela Shalev sent a harsh letter of protest to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and to the Security Council president regarding the launch of Qassam rockets from the Gaza Strip to Israel.
Prof. Shalev wrote that this is the message with which Hamas, the terror organization controlling the Strip, wants to welcome the secretary general upon his visit to the region. She called on UN institutions to condemn the murderous attacks as well as Hamas' operating methods, which endanger both Israelis and Palestinians. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
