Deputy FM: Jerusalem construction will continue

Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon said that the crisis between Israel and the United States "has been used by the media to raise the United State's status as a decent mediator in the region. This has not hurt the historic alliance between Israel and the US."

Speaking during an event in Jerusalem, Ayalon said he believed construction in the capital would not be frozen. "It hasn't happened in the past 42 years. But we may have to act differently, coordinate and supervise more intensely," he estimated. (Roni Sofer)
