Noam Shalit says not 'particularly optimistic' ahead of meeting with UN chief

Published: 03.21.10, 13:46 / Israel News

Noam Shalit, the father of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit, told Ynet he hoped the United Nations secretary-general would be able to advance his son's release from Hamas captivity.

"We are not particularly optimistic, but the secretary-general has already asked to start the hostage exchange deal yesterday," Shalit said before his meeting with UN chief Ban Ki-moon. (Shmulk Grossman)
