Cabinet approves NIS 800 million in aid for Arab towns

The cabinet authorized by a wide majority an aid package of NIS 800 million (about $214 million) for 13 Arab, Druze, and Circassian towns over four years.
Eighteen ministers voted in favor of the plan, one minister abstained, and four ministers from Yisrael Beiteinu opposed the initiative, which was put forth by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minority Affairs Minister Avishay Braverman. (Roni Sofer)
