Meeting between Barak, Mitchell starts in J'lem

The meeting between Defense Minister Ehud Barak and US special envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell has started in Jerusalem. The two are expected to discuss a series of issues related to negotiations with the Palestinians.
Barak met Sunday morning with the Quartet Envoy to the Middle East Tony Blair and said, "I hope that through our actions we have supported that Israel will finally get back on the track of serious and deep negotiations with the Palestinians." (Attila Somfalvi)
