Barak hopes Mitchell's efforts will lead to resumption of talks

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Sunday after his meeting with US special envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell that he "expressed his appreciation for the efforts Mitchell is personally putting in despite difficulties in the recent weeks in renewing the talks."
Barak further noted, "I hope that his efforts here, in Ramallah and the world's capitals will indeed achieve that result." (Roni Sofer)
