8 Druze from Golan Heights embark on humanitarian visits to Syria

Eight Druze residents of the Golan Heights crossed the border from Israel to Syria via Kuneitra Crossing for humanitarian visits. They will return to Israel next week.
Deputy Minister for the Galilee and Negev Development Ayoob Kara, who advocated making the trip a possibility, said "These moves improve Israel's image and make future peace between the countries closer. I intend to continue advocating for tightening relations with Syria on the humanitarian front and the economic front." (Hagai Einav)
