US special envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell called upon Israelis and Palestinians to act with "restraint" following the clashes and riots in the West Bank and Jerusalem as of late.
At the end of his meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Amman, Mitchell said he asks all sides to act with restraint and that there is a need for a cooling period so that peace efforts could be pursued. (AFP)
