Internal security minister: Police salaries insufficient

Minister of Internal Security Yitzhak Aharonovitch (Yisrael Beitenu) said that police wages are a cause for concern, and promised to continue his efforts to increase the police budget and manpower. "As a police veteran, I sometimes find myself ashamed of police salaries," he said.
The minister added that current salaries are not sufficient. "Unfortunately, police officers are hardly able to support their families," he said. (Eli Senyor)
