Peres: China not militarily aggressive

President Shimon Peres told Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu, who is currently visiting Israel, on Wednesday that "contrary to many concerns, China is not aggressive in a war-like manner trying to kill people, but aggressive in its attempt to make people happier."
"In the last thousand years China hasn't displayed military aggression, since it was a victim of such aggression itself," Peres said prior to his meeting with the Chinese official. (Ronen Medzini)
