Medical Association President: MKs killing people because of graves

President of the Israeli Medical Association Dr. Leonid Eidelman told MKs that people depending on Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon would die if the government decided to suspend construction of a new emergency wing due to ancient graves found at the building site.
"You have been speaking for two hours about graves," he said at a Knesset hearing on the matter. "You will kill people because of such a decision." The MKs later demanded an apology for this speech. (Meital Yasur Beit-Or)
