The Council on Human Rights UN meeting in Geneva was "condemned" Wednesday, despite opposition from the United States, the construction of "homes for Israeli settlers" to east Jerusalem.
The Council on Human Rights "deplores Israel's recent announcements regarding the construction of new homes for Israeli settlers in and around the perimeter of occupied east Jerusalem, which undermine the peace process and the creation of a Palestinian state contiguous, sovereign and independent."
