Islamic Jihad claims responsibility for Gaza clashes
The al-Quds Brigades, Islamic Jihad's military wing, claimed responsibility for clashes with the IDF east of Khan Younis in Gaza on Friday.
The group issued a statement saying that two of its operatives planted an explosive in the area, when they were ambushed by an IDF force. Clashes ensued, in which one operative was killed and contact was lost with the other. The organization said it remained unclear whether the second operative was killed or detained. (Ali Waked)
