Obama in Afghanistan encouraged by political progress

US President Barack Obama during his visit to Kabul said to Afghan President Hamid Karzai that he is encouraged by political progress in his country and urged him to continue to fight corruption. Obama also invited his counterpart to visit him in Washington.
Karzai thanked the US president for his support, and said he hoped that the partnership between the two countries would continue. (News agencies)
