IDF chief visits soldier injured in Gaza incident

IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi visited soldier Guy Elmakayes, who was injured Friday in the southern Gaza Strip, at the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba.

Ashkenazi said that Elmakayes' condition was improving and that he had expressed his desire to return to the battalion. The army chief will spend the Passover holiday in northern Israel with IDF fighters. (Ilana Curiel)
