Fallen soldier's family won't ask State to prevent home demolition

Shlomit Peretz, the widow of Major Eliraz Peretz who was killed Friday in the southern Gaza Strip, told Defense Minister Ehud Barak that the family home, which was built illegally in the settlement of Eli, "was his will, because he wanted to build his home and raise his family here."
Despite expectations that the family members would ask Barak to prevent the house's demolition, Peretz's brother, Avihai, said that "Eliraz would not have demanded and conditioned his great contribution to the State with any demand, so neither will we." (Shmulik Grossman)
