2 blasts rock Iraq holy city of Kerbala

Two explosions hit Iraq's holy city of Kerbala on Monday, but there was no immediate word on the cause or possible casualties, authorities said.

The explosions occurred one km (half mile) from the Imam Hussein shrine, one of the holiest sites for Shi'ite Muslims, in Kerbala, about 80 km (50 miles) south of Baghdad. (Reuters)
