Obama publishes Passover greeting

US President Barack Obama published a greeting to the Jewish world on Passover eve Monday. In his letter, he wrote, "The enduring story of the Exodus teaches us that, wherever we live, there is oppression to be fought and freedom to be won."
He opened his letter with a verse from the Talmud in Hebrew, followed by the English translation: "In every generation, each of us should feel as though we ourselves had personally gone forth from Egypt," and ended it with the words, "Chag Sameach", meaning happy holiday.
