Leftists, Palestinians protest at Ofer Prison, one arrested

Around 200 left-wing activists and Palestinians protested at the gates of Ofer Prison, demanding the release of 10 Palestinians who were arrested in Bethlehem Sunday. Among the detainees is Fatah Central Committee member Abbas Zaki. Other members of the committee participated in the protest.

After speeches were given on the premises the protestors attempted to force their way into the prison. The IDF responded by firing tear gas and clashes broke out in which one protestor was arrested. (Shmulik Grossman and Ali Waked)
