French PM bans private jet travel after huge bill

No more high-flying ministers. That's the word from France's prime minister after a Cabinet member rented a private jet to fly him to a conference on the Caribbean island of Martinique a trip that cost taxpayers (EURO)116,500.

Cooperation Minister Alain Joyandet told reporters this week that the case was "exceptional" but that he would pay more attention to his expenses in future. (AP)
