Unknown individuals painted swastikas on a memorial in the Neuengamme concentration camp in Hemburg, Germany. Local police said the case was turned over to the political crimes investigation unit.
The camp's 65th liberation anniversary will be marked in a month's time. Over 100,000 people were held in the facility and at least 42,900 died there. (AFP)
