PM: My decision on Barzilai ER won't risk human lives

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Deputy Health Minister Yakov Litzman Tuesday that he will reach a decision regarding the Barzilai Medical Center's emergency room which will not endanger human lives and based on recommendations by medical professionals.

During a meeting between the two, Litzman stressed that his faction is opposed to the placement of an ER where Jewish graves may be buried, and that as deputy health minister he could not make a decision under the circumstances. An inquiry committee on the matter is scheduled to submit its recommendations in the coming days. (Roni Sofer)
