Police have arrested six people on suspicion that they ran an organ trafficking ring that made millions. Among the detainees is a 62-year old reserve brigadier-general from Rishon Letzion who received a medal of valor for the Yom Kippur War as well as two attorneys from Ashkelon.
Police suspect members of the ring used the bodies of those who asked to sell them their organs in order to overcome financial difficulties. (Sharon Roffe-Ofir)
