UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon expressed his amazement at the violence that broke out in the streets of Kyrgyzstan.
The secretary-general's spokesman, Martin Nesirky said, "The secretary-general is shocked by the reports of death and wounding of civilians that took place today in Kyrgyzstan. He entreats the sides to start dialogue and to calm the streets, to prevent further bloodshed." At least 19 have been killed in violence between the opposition and the regime. (AFP)
