Georgia to send further 750 troops to Afghanistan

Georgia is to send a further 750 troops to Afghanistan, the Defense Ministry in Tbilisi said Wednesday. The soldiers will be deployed in the Helmund province in the south, and will fight the Taliban alongside the US and NATO.
So far, Georgia has sent 170 troops, who fight under French command. (AFP)
