Pakistan: Blast heard in capital; cause unknown

An explosion was heard on Wednesday from a market area of the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, but there was no immediate word on the cause or any casualties, police said.

One television station reported the blast was in the parking lot of a city-centre shopping district and had caused no casualties. (Reuters)
