A Kyrgyz news agency says President Bakiyev is refusing to resign despite a bloody uprising and the formation of a new opposition government.
Opposition leader Roza Otunbayeva said Thursday that parliament was dissolved and she would head an interim government until elections are held in six months. She called on Bakiyev, who has fled the capital of Bishkek, to resign. (AP)
