White House says summit to prevent nuclear terror
A senior White House official warns that terror groups like al-Qaida are seeking to build atomic bombs and says a multinational summit meeting in Washington will seek ways to prevent them from acquiring nuclear materiel.
White House nonproliferation adviser Gary Samore told reporters Friday that the 47-nation Nuclear Security Summit will seek to strengthen measures to safeguard bomb technology. (AP)
